Feeding a mixed room?

One caterer for the whole room.

An office lunch or a family event usually has Muslim colleagues, a few vegetarians and everyone else, and someone ends up eating from the edge of the table.

Kiya’s already cooks Muslim Friendly Chinese food and a full vegetarian menu in one kitchen. Tell us about your event and we’ll work out what fits.

Or bring the event to us: Kiya’s can also be booked as an event hall, for birthdays, office dinners, family gatherings and anything in between.

  • Buffet catering.
  • Any group size, big events welcome. At least 1 week ahead.
  • Within a 20-25 minute drive. Setup and staff are charged separately.
  • The vegetarian menu is available. Quoted on WhatsApp.
  • Booking the venue: up to 50 guests. The balcony alone needs at least 7.

Our Story

We are Muslims who love Chinese food, and we wanted to eat it the way it is meant to taste. Most places we tried either weren’t Muslim Friendly or didn’t taste authentic. We couldn’t find both in one kitchen, so we decided to build it.

We asked a friend to test our menu, and through a lot of trial and error we landed on the flavours of authentic Chinese cooking, made Muslim Friendly. Kam heong, kang pao, buttermilk and the other wok classics are on the menu, with a real vegetarian menu and steamboat beside them, so everyone at the table has something to order.

The menu is still growing. We keep changing it with ideas from the people who eat here, so if there is a dish you miss, tell us.

Come up the stairs, bring whoever you like, and order for the whole table.

“Our second visit. The sizzling yee me is the best we had, the prawn is so nice and expertly fried in the sizzling yee mee. This was a first. And we also had the wantan noodle, the presentation with the soup on the side is so thoughtfull and makes the wantan taste so good. We definitely wanted to order more but decided we will just come back soon.”

“In terms of value, the food is right up there at the top. I came for dinner and ordered the black pepper beef with rice and the sotong with salted egg. The black pepper beef flavour is strong but not too over bearing and the salted egg flavour is spot on. The shop is located on the first floor and only accessible my stairs. Restaurants like these are often hard to find but hoping more people come and try this place out. 10/10 would recommend people to try as the food is very good and the price is very reasonable.”
